Original Breakfast in Albany

Quite a surprise, most dishes made from scratch, I had an Italian omelette with spinach sausage and mushroom, everything tasted so fresh. They make a gravy too which I sampled and had on my home fries. Great service as well. New edit, had a very dissappointing Corn beef hash and eggs, very greasy lacking flavor. Suspect they had a different cook, the Italian omelette is off the menu as well, I thought that was a winner with fresh spinach. Oh well things change. The server was doing her best as they were short staffed after the long weekend. I don't think I'm likely to come back.

Super good food. Service is always awesome. Can be a bit noisy at times and maybe a small wait to be seated. Great place for breakfast.

Certainly a locals place. Cute place. Food was pretty good. This visit was after the regular rush. Last visit food was better. Very convenient location. Right off the freeway.

This is where you want for solidly good food with personable service, all at an affordable price. I cannot fathom any scenario where someone leaves this joint still hungry or unsatisfied. I'll be a regular.

The food is always great here! 4 stars because the prices are a little on the high side but if you want to splurge or have great breakfast food this place is for you! Try it. You won't be disappointed.

Great service, absolutely delicious food, and tastiest mocha I've ever had! I tried their blueberry and cream cheese stuffed French toast and it was absolutely perfect I'll definitely be returning to try more of their menu in the future ❤️

Had a really nice meal there with the family. Relaxed atmosphere, traditional cafe type setting, very relaxing. Good portions, waitress was on her game and did a excellent job. I had the Denver omelette, best I have ever had. I would definitely recomend. Looking forward to eating there again.

Great diner, just like the places I grew up with in the Midwest. Friendly staff, great French toast, and perfectly timed coffee refills. Good food and solid, friendly service in an atmosphere that my grandparents would feel welcome in.

The food is pretty good but hella overpriced. I got a white chocolate raspberry mocha there that was amazing though and only like $3.50. If the plates were about half the price I'd have given the full 5 stars. For example, they have food that's $15 but really should be $8-10.

2nd visit. Well prepared excellent food. Staff excellent as well. Pulled pork green chili sauce prepared from scratch omelette. Excellent bottomless coffee.

I've come to enjoy my time at original breakfast. Service is always great. The girls and all the provide service here seem to be really nice and courteous with the help that they can provide. I look forward to having my breakfast or lunch in a timely manner and always just prepared the way that I would like it. Server was nice and genuine, the food was amazing! If you love breakfast as much as i do you will love this place. The omelettes are great.

Not as "big" of portions compared to many other breakfast places in town for the price you paid. The special I had did taste good however. Omelet was huge!

Disorganized chaos!!! Bad experience! Potatoes were so greasy. Coffee was never refilled. Orange juice was advertised as fresh squeezed and was not. Came with a hair on the plate. The light fixture above the table was covered in dust and dirt. The table was not clean. We will never return.

My dad and I just had another epic breakfast here at the Original Breakfast. The chorizo scramble was great! My dad had the sausage and eggs breakfast, he seemed to enjoy it too. This is our second visit, just a great choice any time of day.

Only one waitress working, but you'd never know! She was very quick, attentive, and made everyone feel as if they were her only table. The food was excellent! Will definitely be back!

I like this place. Tasty, fresh, satisfying meal every time. Only thing that annoys me is every thing served on separate little plates. Other then that I've always had hard working waitress serving and worth the cost. It is not an expensive place.

I had a great meal with my daughter. With that being said, the servers all appeared to be on drugs.. friendly.. but sketchy. Again.. good food.. but sketchy environment. . Maybe don't take kiddos.

Excellent food with fast and friendly service. All their food is home made with some very tasty original recipes. I heartily recommend their corned beef hash, with eggs and toast. If you prefer a sweeter breakfast, they can provide that with delicious home made specialty waffles. Great cup of coffee, too!

If you enjoy old fashioned breakfast houses, you wont be disappointed. Thanks to the cooks that put out our awesome homestyle meals and thanks to wait staff for making our experience great. We will be back!!

The food tasted great but I was very disappoint on the amount of food for the price I paid! I got the stuffed blueberry French toast. It was more like a small crape! $13! Then if you add eggs and 2 pieces of bacon that's another 5 bucks! I can get more food that taste just as good for half the price somewhere else ! Don't think we'll be back. Just to expensive for what you get.

Food is fine, nothing special. Prices are high but that's what I'd expect this type of food (Non-GMO, etc). Server wasn't very attentive on a relatively slow morning (Never came back to fill up our empty waters in over a half an hour) The Hostess was a bit unprofessional in their conversation (Our table was right near them) but nothing too egregious. I wouldn't recommend it myself but I'm sure you'll have a fine meal if you do go. Just expect around $12-$15 a plate.

My husband and I come here when we want a special treat for breakfast! We always get great service from the friendly waitstaff and the food never disappoints!!

Food was really good. Service was great. But the wait time to be served your food is a little too long. That's why I rate it 4 stars.

That stuffed blueberry French toast is the business. Seriously. Get to this place and have that French toast. Or a skillet, or an omelette or the Eggs Benedict. I have yet to go there and be disappointed. The weight staff is always friendly and attentive. It may look like your average side of the road mom-and-pop diner but they will surprise you with the organic food and great quality.

I really enjoy their country fried steak. The gravy is amazing and the hand breading (cornflakes or something) is great. Take the time to read their why statement on their menu, pretty cool.

Went in with a group of 8 family members ranging from ages 2-75. We were treated amazing and the food was delicious. Great experience!

Seriously pricey, ok food, great service. The staff was fantastic and the wait time for Sunday after church was not all that long. They got to people pretty quickly.

Great food and great service - on a Sunday at peak time it's going to be very busy, but the food is well worth the wait. Dishes are pricey but the serving size is large and the quality is great.Very classic Diner style restaurant - they also serve espresso.
